just me rambling in my car this morning: 1. 2 weeks of “liquids” over and now on to mushies (cottage cheese, egg salad, tuna salad, oatmeal, yogurt) 2. why i wanted to have surgery: vanity: to like what i saw when i looked in the mirror 3. to tell or not to tell : TELL 4. 6 month post op blood work results = all good, big drop in one category
great video, you look so happy especially in traffic and on your way to work! LOL have a good day
each doctor is different. you should follow the rules your doctor gives you. my doctor is a lapband patient of 8 years and he seems to be a bit more cautious and lays out way different “after fill rules” than most of the doctors who work with the YT peeps. the general YT peep does 1-2 day liquids and then 1-2 days mushies. i do 2 weeks liquids. do not follow me or other YT peeps. follow your doctors orders. i hope that helps. do not stress the fill is easy and you’ll do fine. take care.
wendy just a quick question – do you have to stay on mushy and liquids once you get a new fill? i heard you only have to 2 -3 days after just to make sure we get used to it. Let me know since my fill is coming up and i would like to question this my doc. thanks !
sounds like you are sure of yourself and that is the biggest thing. you go girl! thanks for sharing.
you got that right! i just watched your random thoughts vid this morning. keep them coming. there are plenty of those thoughts floating in our heads. have a good one. take care.
thank you timothy! i appreciate your kind words. I hope you are better than well this week. Smiles!
you like me. . .tell the world, why not?!? I feel ya. I have not had the “wish i had not” experience, but i can see your point. As for “slowing down” just be sure to keep it all in perspective and take it one day at a time (ok, one week if you are a planner like me) and you’ll be just fine. Keep trucking! Oh now, it’s sunday now and monday is just around the corner.
Onward!
thanks for sharing your story as it relates to my random thoughts on this day. this journey is such an amazing, new one, even though so much of it i have (we have) done before. I like the pizza topping story. my boyfriend eats pizza toppings regularly. we order pizza and he’ll eat 1 or 2 pieces and then the topping off 2 more. make it work! that is the name of this game. have a good one!
yours is a very interesting situation. you are not a failure, just a person who struggled with a rounded lifestyle of fitness and healthy eating and food choices. you are doing it now girl and should be SUPER PROUD of all of your efforts including the BAND. i’m sure as you get closer and closer to your goal weight you will realize that too! deny, deny, deny. . .that’s fine, cuz you do have us here on YT and we always have your back. Keep rocking it!
oh good, so i am not alone! LOL! i missed you this week. i hope you are well. Hugs!
i am not telling them, my husband, mom, and younger sister and closest girl friend is the only one that knows.
Wonderful video as always. I have told everyone except my two adult sons. But then again I have not really told them the extent of my health issues either. I was thinking of posting it on my Facebook status, but not sure about that. :0) Seuss
Random thoughts are almost always sources of great wisdom. Thanks for the impulse video! I have only told my parents, my child and one friend – and having fought the battle with weight back and forth so long, no one asks any more. I just couldn’t deal with the “how are you doing” and food policing that went on with other programs I tried. I am not sure if I will ever tell anyone, but I certainly see your perspective.
GREAT VIDEO AND LOOKING GOOD!
I told everyone. Sometimes i wish I had not. Everyone is watching me lol and asking how much I have lost…. Its less than three weeks ago and I am doing awesome But its gunna be hard if i slow down. on the other hand it helps me to be accountable……Its FRIDAY wooohooo!
I don’t just randomly tell people ‘out of topic’ just cuz I am one of those people who probalby wouldn’t tell them randomly that I had a bad ankle, an ulcer, cateracts, etc. However I certainly have no problem telling them when something related to the topic comes up or if they comment on my weight loss. Example, I pulled all the toppings off my pizza crust while in a group of classmates – I told them. My close friends and all my family knew. congrats to you on the past 2 weeks!
OMG WENDY!!!! your face looks really skinny!!!! omg you shrunk fast in 2 weeks.. wow…
Great Video Wendy. I was a lot like u. I didn’t show my emotions of being fat get in the way of having a good time w/ friends or family. They always saw me happy. However, thats now how I felt on the inside. Thanx for sharing this w/ us.
